Well I've added learning HTML and MovableType to my list of things to do. It seems like a pretty important piece of the puzzle I'm trying to put together. It's not surprising that all of the hosting services offer a very low price for doing it yourself and a higher one for getting help...duh! I've been using templates for a couple of years now and I'm starting to see the freedom gained by knowing a little of the language that makes up this landscape we call the web.
Bursting at the seams these days creatively. Sure there are ups and downs but in the meantime I've been building new websites, filming for fun, teaching, and becoming a strange combo of an HD-marketing-tech-podcast lady. Talking on the phone is becoming an art that I enjoy. I've found that people respond more if I let my enthusiasm come out naturally.
Not sure if having four blog spots is a good thing or not. I like the idea of being able to write with a slightly different tone on each. Friends have said that they can't believe how personal I get on some of the entries but I figure that there is enough gloss out there that I'm willing to share my story.
Okay, I'm finally applying the stuff I learned at the NAB Podcasting Conference in Las Vegas. My goal is to integrate my clothing production background with HD, podcasting, and sewing instruction. Who knows how it will all evolve. There is so much to learn. There is a real need to fuse the traditionally female oriented rag trade with the male dominated film trade. We're all searching for a voice and I hope to express mine through more then what I decide to wear everyday.
